The Ukrainian military is scaling up a successful experiment with a new way to shoot down enemy Mavic drones – using FPV drones with shotguns. New videos of the defenders’ efforts have been released online.

The Defense Express portal reported on this in more detail. They say that as of today, publicly, these are isolated cases rather than intensive use of this method of combating the occupiers’ drones, but it is quite effective.

The published footage shows several episodes of a shotgun-equipped FPV drone flying very close to an enemy “mavic” and then shooting it down with a well-aimed shot. At the same time, the operator uses a camera to record the target’s fall.

“But the video is also interesting because it shows an “air shotgun” being used against a Russian infantryman. True, the shot failed to kill the enemy soldier, but in the end, it seems that it was with the help of the same FPV shotgun that a grenade was dropped on the enemy,” the report says.

The authors of the video indicated that some of the footage was filmed in the Kupyan region – in the area of ​​Synkivka and Petropavlivka.

It is also noted that the FPV drone with a shotgun is a development of the Lesia UA Technology Foundation for Assistance to Defenders of Ukraine.
