Ukraine and Poland are currently working on a direct mechanism for organizing search and exhumation work.
Ukraine will not hinder the Poles in searching for and exhuming the victims of the Volyn tragedy. In turn, Poland will support Ukraine’s aspirations to join the EU. This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski at a press conference following a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Andriy Sybiha.

“Ukraine confirms that there are no obstacles to search and exhumation work on its territory and declares its readiness to positively consider applications in these matters. Of course, we are also mobilizing Polish institutions, such as the Institute of National Remembrance, to be sensitive to Ukrainian demands,” Polsat News quotes Sikorski as saying.
In turn, Andrey Sybiga added that work is currently underway within the joint Ukrainian-Polish working group “on practical mechanisms for conducting search and exhumation work.”
The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry also published a joint statement by the two ministers, which stated that Kyiv and Warsaw “are determined to resolve the contentious issues of our common past in the name of universal values and in the Christian spirit.” In particular, in the matter of exhuming the victims of the Volyn tragedy.
The head of Polish diplomacy also assured that Warsaw will support Kyiv’s efforts on the path to the EU.
“We are using the period of the Polish presidency of the EU Council to speed up this process as much as possible. Ukraine’s membership in the EU is a strategic interest of our country,” Sikorski noted.

Great! Now, what was so difficult about this? Both countries acted like little children.
