The American leader hopes that Russia will not stop negotiations with Kyiv.
US President Donald Trump has made a number of statements on the war in Ukraine and peace talks, Clash Report writes .
He said Ukraine’s recent attacks had given Russia a reason to “go and bomb the hell out of them.”
“Well, they gave Putin an excuse last night to go and bomb the hell out of them, that’s what I didn’t like about it. When I saw it (the SBU attack on Russian airfields), I said: well, now the strike will follow,” the US president said.
Trump expressed hope that the war in Ukraine would not escalate into a nuclear conflict after Kyiv’s recent attacks on Russian military airfields, saying he did not like them.
At the same time, the American leader also hopes that Russia will not stop negotiations with Kyiv.
He called the Senate bill on sanctions against Russia “very strong,” but he will personally make the decision on new restrictions.
