The Cassation Administrative Court within the Supreme Court of Ukraine dismissed the appeal of the “Socialist Party of Ukraine” and thus finally banned its activities .

This is discussed in the message of the SBU.

“From now on, the activities of 12 pro-Russian political forces have been completely banned in Ukraine,” the Security Service noted.

It is reported that the decision to ban the functioning of the “Socialist Party of Ukraine” was made on the basis of a presidential decree and a decision of the National Security and Defense Council. They are based on evidence of the destructive activities of the party, collected as part of the SBU’s response to threats to national security.

“We are talking primarily about demonstrative support and popularization of Russia’s aggressive anti-Ukrainian policy, both at the level of the leadership and “ordinary” members of this party association,” the SBU explained.

Thus, this political force added to the list of previously banned pro-Russian political parties, including: Opposition Bloc, Socialists, Justice and Development Party, Nashi, Derzhava, Vladimir Saldo Bloc, Left Opposition “, “Party of Sharia”, “Union of Left Forces”, “Opposition Platform – For Life” and “Progressive Socialist Party of Ukraine”.

The SBU noted that in the course of investigative and operational actions it was proved that representatives of these political forces were directly involved in establishing the occupation regime in the territories of Ukraine occupied by Russia; organizing and holding fake “referendums” in these territories.

It is also noted that since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Russia on the facts of the activities of their functionaries, SBU investigators have launched more than 80 pre-trial investigations, including against deputies of councils of various levels; within these proceedings, 37 suspicions were announced.

“Some defendants in these proceedings are hiding from justice, including on the territory of the Russian Federation. The SBU notes the inevitability of punishment for crimes against the national security of Ukraine and will continue to defend the interests of the state in such court cases,” the report says.
