Ukraine has risen by three lines in the world ranking of military power and has taken 22nd place among the 140 most powerful armies in the world. Last year, the Ukrainian army was in 25th place.

This is evidenced by the data of the American ranking of military power Global Firepower Index 2022.

In particular, over the year Ukraine has improved the so-called “Power Index” (PwrIndx). In 2022, it is 0.3266 (an estimate of 0.0000 is considered “ideal”). In 2021, this figure was – 0.4396, in 2020 – 0.4457.

The top three in the ranking included the United States, Russia and China .

All other neighboring countries of Ukraine, except for the Russian Federation, have weaker positions in this rating. In particular, Poland was in 24th place, Romania – 38th, Belarus – 52nd, Hungary – 56th, Slovakia – 60th and Moldova – 105th.The most powerful armies in the world / photo globalfirepower.com

The Global Firepower Index rating takes into account about 50 factors, including the number of armed forces, the level of technical equipment, funding, the use of modern technologies and logistical capabilities.

At the same time, the specialists who make up the rating do not take into account the nuclear capabilities of the countries.

As UNIAN reported earlier, amid the threat of a Russian invasion, the Ministry of Defense urged Ukrainians to trust the Armed Forces and remain calm, not succumbing to panic.
