What is known about the oil depot?

The Tikhoretskaya oil transshipment depot is part of the structure of Chornomortransnafta OJSC (a subsidiary of Transneft). Its main task is to receive, store and further pump oil coming from various regions towards export terminals on the Black Sea, primarily to the port of Novorossiysk.

The total volume of the tank farm is about 380 thousand cubic meters. The base is connected to railway tracks and automobile entrances, which makes it a multimodal transshipment hub. The Tikhoretsk oil depot is the intersection point of several major highways. Important sections of oil pipelines begin here, for example, the Tikhoretsk – Novorossiysk direction.
