Ukraine Attacked Oil Depots in Gvardiyske and Simferopol in occupied Crimea

29.10.2025

Explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Crimea on the morning of October 29. An oil depot in the village of Gvardiyske was attacked again: after the arrival of the aircraft, a new fire broke out at the facility, which was barely extinguished after the last attack.

This was reported by the Telegram channel “Crimean Wind”. The public also reported a fire at another facility near the Simferopol CHP.

The oil depot in Gvardiyske, according to “Crimean Wind”, was attacked again early Wednesday morning.

“You will laugh, but it happened again. On 06.26 there was a powerful arrival in the village of Gvardiyske . And again the ATAN oil depot is on fire,” the channel writes.

Footage showing the glow of the fire was also posted online. It is alleged that it was taken on the morning of October 29 in Hvardiyske.

As noted, the attacked oil depot in Gvardiyske belongs to the ATAN gas station network , which is the largest network of gas stations in Crimea: there are over 100 of them on the peninsula. The owner of the network is Kedr LLC, which also owns a network of oil depots and a fleet of fuel trucks.

Local Telegram channels also reported that the attacked base “is constantly being refueled by military tankers of the Russian occupiers, which then head towards the Kherson region.”

Damage reported to oil depot near CHP on the outskirts of Simferopol

A photo of a column of thick black smoke rising above the alleged site of the attack also appeared online.

The Exilenova+ Telegram channel geolocated the shot and stated that the photo was taken in the village of Gresivskyi, near the Simferopol airfield: there was a “drone danger” declared (coordinates – 44.98524213460738, 34.10426663901122).

Also, “Crimean Wind” first announced the possible damage to the thermal power plant in Simferopol. Subscribers of the channel reported that they were observing a powerful fire there.

“The Simferopol CHP is on fire in the village of Gresovsky , which is part of Simferopol. The CHP’s electrical capacity is 100 MW, thermal capacity is 490.1 Gcal/h. Annual electricity production is 600 million kWh, heat production is 300 thousand Gcal. It was previously called the CHP. It seems that
there may be problems with electricity and heat supply in Simferopol,” the public
noted.

However, quite soon “Crimean Wind” denied the first reports.

As OBOZ.UA wrote, on the morning of October 17, it became known that drones attacked an oil depot in Gvardiyske in Crimea. Then a powerful fire broke out there. It was extinguished for several days, and on October 21, the fire at the oil depot broke out with renewed force.

At that time, at least 5 tanks burned down at the oil depot.
