12.11.2025

On the night of November 12, Russia reported a drone attack on the Stavropol Territory. Explosions were heard, in particular, in Budennovsk.

A fire broke out in an industrial zone there, confirmed by local authorities. The Stavrolen chemical plant was hit.

What is known

According to observations by the Telegram channel Exilenova+, Russians began writing about the explosions in Budennovsk on social networks at around 2 a.m. Kyiv time. The “unmanned danger” in the Stavropol Territory was declared from 00:03 to 05:04.

“Budenovsk, Stavropol Territory. Locals report explosions, before that there was a danger of UAVs in the region. The target of the attack could have been LLC Stavrolen,” writes Exilenova+.

The Telegram channel clarified that Stavrolen LLC is not engaged in gas processing in the classical sense, but uses products from LUKOIL group gas processing plants, in particular, processing associated petroleum gas from the North Caspian fields at a separate gas processing plant (GPP) of the group. This GPP with a capacity of 2.2 billion m³/year produces degassed gas and SHFLP, which are then supplied to Stavrolen’s petrochemical production.

The enterprise produces low-pressure polyethylene of the 277-73 brand, resistant to thermal-oxidative aging, benzene, vinyl acetate (vinyl acetate), propylene, polypropylene, ethylene, synthetic resins and plastic masses, thermoplastics, polymer films, polyolefin films, polymer transport containers.

The plant is located in Budyonnovsk and is a city-forming enterprise.

Local authorities indirectly acknowledged the damage to the plant, stating that there was a “fire in the Budennovsk industrial zone.” At the same time, Russian air defense, of course, “repelled the terrorist attack,” and the cause of the fire was “debris.”

“Over the Budennovsk district, the air defense forces of the Russian Defense Ministry repelled a terrorist attack by Ukrainian drones. A fire broke out from the debris of the downed UAV in the Budennovsk industrial zone. Firefighters and emergency services are working on site. According to operational data, there are no victims, residential buildings are not damaged, and life support systems are operating normally,” wrote the governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, who took at least three hours to write such an informative message.

The Russian official also urged Russians to “not trust rumors” and to believe only official statements about the “repulsed attack” and “falling debris.” The city’s residents are also being advised not to believe their own eyes, as they watch the fire in Stavrolena grow more and more intense.

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, four drones were “shot down” over the Stavropol Territory overnight. In total, 22 drones were “repulsed.”

But the admin of the Telegram channel Supernova+ claims that there were “at least three accurate hits” on the plant.

Previously, Stavrolen had already been under attack by Ukrainian drones : the flights to this chemical plant were reported on the morning of October 29.

As OBOZ.UA reported, the day before, on November 11, the Russian oil refinery in Orsk was hit by SBU drones. The place of arrival from the Ukrainian border is about 1,400 km away.

It was also reported that the General Staff confirmed the destruction of the Saratov Oil Refinery, the oil terminal in Feodosia, and enemy facilities in the Donetsk region.

  1. Good job!
Ukraine believes in diversity … it has developed a nice diverse targeting plan; oil refineries, oil depots, chemical plants, shipping docks, and so forth.

“The Russian official also urged Russians to “not trust rumors”

Sure, it’s better to believe the professional liars from the mafia state.
