On Friday, March 27, Ukraine and Saudi Arabia signed a document on defense cooperation. The document lays the foundation for further contracts, technological cooperation and investments, and strengthens Ukraine’s international role as a security donor.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky. The agreement was signed before the head of state’s meeting with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.
What is known
According to the head of state, the document was signed between the defense ministries of both countries.
“We are ready to share our expertise and system with Saudi Arabia and cooperate to strengthen the protection of lives. For the fifth year, Ukrainians have been fighting against the same terrorist strikes with ballistic missiles and drones that the Iranian regime is currently carrying out in the Middle East and the Gulf region. And Saudi Arabia has what Ukraine is interested in,” Zelensky said, narrowing down that cooperation between Kyiv and Riyadh can be mutually beneficial.

In particular, during the meeting, the parties also discussed the situation in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, Russia’s assistance to the Iranian ayatollah regime, the situation in fuel markets, and possible energy cooperation.
Zelensky’s visit to Saudi Arabia
Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived on a visit to Saudi Arabia on Thursday, March 26. The head of state is expected to discuss security and cooperation issues.
The trip takes place against the backdrop of Ukraine’s active international contacts to strengthen defense cooperation and involve countries of the Global South in the implementation of the Peace Formula.
In particular, the head of state also held a meeting with military experts who have been working in the country for over a week on consultations on countering Iranian drone strikes. They reported on the first results of their work.
As OBOZ.UA reported, earlier the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Iranian military attaché and four other embassy employees that they had been declared persona non grata and must now leave the country within 24 hours. The reason is the continuation of Iranian attacks on the country’s territory.

I was upset at first when Zelensky offered help to Middle Eastern countries, because they were completely indifferent to Ukraine’s plight. But it seems that the effort is bearing fruit, at least, I hope it will. This deal is a first step.
It might’ve helped for all those countries in the region to see and learn what it means to be bombed when you are innocent. I often wish this to happen to other countries that don’t care about Ukraine’s dire situation and especially those who are siding with evil.
It also has the added benefit to go around Trump and the USA to get drone support. Imagine the Saudis getting modern drones before the USA? That should wake somebody up that thinks they don’t need Ukraine despite all the US military reports begging for cooperation with Ukraine.
I doubt that certain person will see the light. His hate for Ukraine makes him blind.
