Laura Loomer, an American far-right activist and supporter of US President Donald Trump, has stated the striking difference between Ukraine and Russia in their attitude towards critics of the government. She recalled that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invited her for an interview despite her critical views, while in Russia, she said, she would have been threatened with imprisonment for such a position.
Lumer wrote about this on the social network X, responding to a comment from a user who suggested that she visit Russia and personally check the situation there. The activist explained why she believes it is incorrect to put both countries on the same level.
What did Lumer say about Ukraine and Russia?
According to Loomer, if she went to Russia and openly criticized its authorities, she would risk ending up behind bars. She noted that despite her previous criticism of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky invited her to the Mariinsky Palace and agreed to give an interview.
“If I had gone to Russia, I would have been imprisoned and held as a hostage or prisoner of war for criticizing Russia. I came to Ukraine as a critic, and the president of Ukraine invited me to his palace and allowed me to interview him,” the activist wrote.
Lumer also said that after her conversation with Zelensky, Russian state media began calling for her assassination. She said they were distributing propaganda videos from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) urging Islamic terrorists to shoot her.ADVERTISING

What Loomer previously said about Russia and the war in Ukraine
Recall that earlier, American journalist and Donald Trump supporter Laura Loomer publicly opposed the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the United States. She emphasized that Moscow would use the funds received to continue the war against Ukraine and support Iran.
