Despite all the difficulties, Ukraine is creating a national defense product, which in some parameters is already ahead of many others in the world.
President Zelenskyy stated this at the International Defense Industries Forum, Censor.NET reports .
“We were able to establish the production of our domestic artillery in record time and quality. We are already producing 40 of our “Bogdan” alone per month. This is a serious result. We thank the manufacturers,” the head of state noted.
Also, according to Zelensky, last year Ukraine produced and delivered 2.4 million mortar and artillery ammunition of various calibers to the front.
“Ukrainians are undoubtedly the first in Europe in the development and use of drones. Ukrainian naval drones have become a global defense sensation. They have allowed us to regain control of part of the Black Sea, which is necessary for the stability of our state and the protection of our cities,” he added.

It seems to me these guns are instrumental at keeping the roaches and worms at bay. They seem intent on contiuning war forever, cuz itll hurt their pride if they dont, and not win. Will the destroyed villages and towns ever be restored? If not, then with 100s of these guns hammer that no mans band of destruction forever, not a DMZ, but a NML, no mans land.
40 guns is roughly two artillery battalions with three batteries a month. Typically an artillery brigade will have three battalions. This means AFU will be getting a new brigade every six weeks.
That is pretty impressive.
More than just guns the AFU have reorganized into a Corp structure that permanently assigns a particular artillery brigade to a specific Corp. Previously battalions were shifted around willy nilly all across the front line. This caused turbulence in command and control and complicated logistical support because of the wildly different equipment assigned to each unit. Temporarily assigned units quickly “Fall between the cracks” as the temporarily assigned unit becomes “Not our problem.” to the higher headquarters, Meanwhile their parent unit is out of touch or adopts the attitude “That is their problem now.”
Permanent attachment of a unit improves the cohesion, command and control and logistics as the higher head quarters learns what the subordinate unit needs and have a stake in their well being. Unit personnel become familiar with the people they are working with and how to integrate with each other. Most importantly they learn who they can/cannot trust to get the job done.
A shining example of the success of this reorganization is the success of the counter attack near Drobrapill by the Third Corp particularly the Azov brigade. The Corp command trusted them and gave the brigade the flexibility to handle the battle as they saw it. In three days they cut off thousands of Russian troops and turned a crushing defeat into a stunning victory.
This humiliated Putin as he met with Trump in Alaska. In the following weeks Trump has done a complete 180 on his support for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian fighting man has been magnificent in this war. Now we are seeing that they are getting the army they deserve.
