Ukrainian defense companies Culver Aerospace and GLEFA have unveiled a new mid-range strike drone known as the “Behemoth,” capable of striking targets at distances of up to 300 kilometers.
According to Defender Media and materials released by the developers on May 21, the drone has already undergone combat use. Published specifications indicate that the system can carry a warhead weighing up to 75 kilograms and is designed to fly at low altitude to reduce the likelihood of detection by air defense systems.
The “Behemoth” reportedly uses a tandem warhead combining an explosively formed penetrator with a thermobaric charge. Developers stated that the platform can function both autonomously and in FPV mode, while communications are supported through Starlink connectivity.
Ukrainian media covering the presentation noted the drone’s visual and operational similarities to Iranian-designed Shahed loitering munitions, which Russia has extensively used during long-range strikes against Ukrainian infrastructure.
