Who cares? UIA is a shitline anyway. I have no money left for the israeli-turkish mafia, who’s boss is asshole Kolomoisky! Fuck UIA!
It is vital for Ukraine that it continues in business.
The cancellations make no sense from the health perspective. Tbilisi and Larnaca are the most covid-free in Europe. So could it be for commercial reasons?
A very good cheapo airline: SkyUp (no idea who owns it, but I’ve used it a couple of times and found it to be excellent) announced huge losses, but it’s scaled everything back and somehow is still flying.
It’s politics. From Scandinavia to Georgia all is canceled. Yet Putin asslick-destinations are still on. I think it’s obvious. Zelensky and Kolomoisky are bad news day by day.
Sky Up is hungarian. But i also used it once. Very good service.
Definitely owned by Ukrainian businessmen but I don’t know who. The Hungarian one is Wizzair.
Oh. Yes, i flew Wizz Air. Sorry, my Alzheimer. 😂 Then Wizz Air is excellent. Will try Sky Up next time if they also fly to Copenhagen or Hamburg.
I gotta hand it to SkyUp for can-do attitude. They expected to do big business for the summer season until the chicom bat pox flew in.
What they did was impressive. To stay in business, they pulled out all the seats and continued as a cargo operator. Now slowly trying to resume to pick up some late summer passenger business.
Top effort!
SkyUp is 100% Ukrainian, and the owners have been fighting various authorities from Yanu’s time. Kolomoisky is rumoured to be behind all this crap against them.

If UIA went tits up, the govt would have to act quickly and award its routes to SkyUp. No nation can survive without a reliable national carrier.
The second COVID-19 wave is in full progress. More restrictions to come, independent from UIA. It sucks.
UIA has lost me as a customer. I flew this airline twice, thrice or more a year. Over the past couple of years, the service has been reduced and the prices have gone up. Once, as an example, I was pulled out of the boarding line because my carryon bag was a little too large (no, it wasn’t a full-sized suitcase). I had to pay extra for that size (after paying 15 Euros for changing my seat for one with more legroom. That pissed me off. There will be no more UIA for me.
