The U.S. military sent to Europe the operational group of stealth bombers B-2 Spirit.
According to Voice of America , the planes were flown from the Whiteman air base in Missouri ( USA) to the Lajes base on the Azores ( Portugal).
Bombers will be involved in military integration exercises and flight training.
“The deployment of strategic bombers in Europe allows crew members to get acquainted with the theater of operations … Integration with our NATO allies and partner countries in the theater of operations, as well as with other units of the US Air Force … allows us to build long-term strategic relations necessary to withstand a wide range of global challenges, ”said the US European Command.
