The head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine was exposed for bribing people’s deputies to vote on specific bills. This was reported by the press service of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.

“NABU and SAPO exposed the head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for offering improper benefits to a number of people’s deputies belonging to factions not led by this person for voting “for” or “against” specific bills,” the report says.

Preliminary qualification of the offense – Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Such offenses are punishable by imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with or without confiscation of property.

NABU did not name specific names. They promise to make details public later.

Meanwhile, ” Ukrainian Pravda ” reports, citing sources, that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting searches at the office of the “Batkivshchyna” party. It is noted that this is an office in Kyiv on Turivska Street.

At the same time, the ” Schemes ” project, citing a source in anti-corruption agencies, informs that this is about the head of the “Batkivshchyna” faction, Yulia Tymoshenko.

“NABU and SAPO have exposed Yulia Tymoshenko, who heads the Batkivshchyna faction, a source in anti-corruption agencies confirmed to Schem. There are no more details at the moment. The People’s Deputy has not commented on this, and her faction has not reported anything either,” the journalists said.

This information is confirmed by People’s Deputy Oleksiy Honcharenko (“European Solidarity”):

“This is Yulia Tymoshenko. She was negotiating with several deputies about switching or informally joining the Batkivshchyna faction for money. One of the deputies recorded and transferred the materials to NABU,” he wrote on the Telegram channel.

Other high-profile cases of NABU and SAPO

At the end of December 2025, it became known that the NABU and the SAPO had completed the investigation into the case of the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, who previously also held the position of Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, and five other individuals.

The investigation incriminates the former Deputy Prime Minister with causing losses to the state in the amount of UAH 1 billion. At that time, the media mentioned the name of Oleksiy Chernyshov.

Earlier, they also reported suspicions of members of an organized criminal group operating in the Verkhovna Rada  and ensuring that MPs received illegal benefits for the “necessary” vote. The suspects included 5 MPs.

  1. All corrupt scum must be exposed and prosecuted.
I just can’t understand how someone can be so depraved when the nation is struggling so much to merely survive.

  2. So far Zelensky’s team was crumbling because of rampant corruption and the government reshuffled constantly. I don’t believe a single word of this article. Throwing all oponents into prison prior to elections reminds me of a shithole next door…

    • Yeah, its probably nothing Mike, but I’m glad NABU is looking at everything. Including Zelensky’s chief of staff. As far as the elections go, if I remember right, Zelensky said he won’t be running. He wants a vacation after working 1,500 days straight.

  3. Can’t believe Tymoshenko was buying votes. I’d wait to hear the full story. If she was doing a quid pro quo meaning you vote for this I’ll vote for that, that’s politics.
