Запоріжжя. Російські війська завдали удару по місту авіабомбами. Зруйнований звичайний житловий багатоквартирний будинок, приватні будинки, пошкоджена будівля онколікарні. Під завалами шукають людей. Усі служби на місці. Відомо, на жаль, про загиблого. Мої співчуття рідним та близьким. Є поранені. Усім надається необхідна допомога.

Кожен такий російський удар не тільки вбиває людей і руйнує життя, а й знищує сенс будь-яких слів про те, що нібито не вистачає розмов із Росією, якихось дзвінків у Кремль. Там отримують задоволення від загибелі людей. І тому саме ППО для України, можливість знищувати російську військову авіацію, дозвіл для України на далекобійні удари проти окупанта – ось це є справжнім захистом життя. І я вдячний усім у світі, хто саме із цим допомагає.

Zaporozhye. Russian troops struck the city with aerial bombs. An ordinary residential apartment building, private houses were destroyed, and the building of an oncology hospital was damaged. They are looking for people under the rubble. All services are in place. Unfortunately, it is known about the deceased. My condolences to the family and friends. There are wounded. Everyone is provided with the necessary assistance.

Each such Russian strike not only kills people and destroys lives, but also destroys the meaning of any words that there are allegedly not enough conversations with Russia, some calls to the Kremlin. They enjoy the death of people there. And that is why it is air defense for Ukraine, the ability to destroy Russian military aircraft, permission for Ukraine to carry out long-range strikes against the occupier – this is the real protection of life. And I am grateful to everyone in the world who helps with this.

З липневого саміту Європейської політичної спільноти у Британії було багато розмов про необхідність піддатися Путіну, відступити, піти на якісь «поступки». Це є неприйнятним для України й самогубством для всієї Європи. Сказав це під час пленарного засідання саміту Європейської політичної спільноти в Будапешті.

Україна вдячна за всю підтримку з боку наших партнерів, ми відкриті до будь-яких конструктивних ідей заради досягнення справедливого миру для нашої країни. Але саме Україна має вирішувати, що має бути, а чого не має бути на порядку денному для завершення цієї війни.

І не має бути ілюзій, що виявом слабкості або торгівлею якимись європейськими позиціями чи статусом якоїсь європейської країни можна купити справедливий мир. Це просто так не працює. Мир – це винагорода лише для сильних. Тому альтернативи сильній Європі немає. А для сили важлива єдність.

Since the July summit of the European Political Community in Britain, there has been a lot of talk about the need to succumb to Putin, to retreat, to make some “concessions”. This is unacceptable for Ukraine and suicidal for the whole of Europe. I said this during the plenary session of the summit of the European Political Community in Budapest.

Ukraine is grateful for all the support from our partners, we are open to any constructive ideas in order to achieve a just peace for our country. But it is up to Ukraine to decide what should and should not be on the agenda to end this war.

And there should be no illusion that a just peace can be bought by showing weakness or trading some European positions or the status of a European country. It just doesn’t work that way. Peace is a reward only for the strong. Therefore, there is no alternative to a strong Europe. And unity is important for strength.
