“We have full cooperation. Currently, the vessel is at the port entrance, it is detained by the Turkish customs authorities,” the ambassador said.

He noted that the fate of the ship will be decided at a meeting of investigators on Monday. Ukraine hopes that the grain will be confiscated.

Earlier, the Ukrainian side asked Turkey to detain the cargo ship Zhibek Zholy under the Russian flag.

Reuters journalists today saw the ship anchored about 1 kilometer from the coast and outside the port of Karasu. They note that they saw no clear signs of movement on board or other vessels in the vicinity.

Recall, on July 1, Bodnar said that the ship Zhibek Zholy arrived in Turkey from the temporarily occupied Berdyansk. He stated that there could be stolen Ukrainian grain on board , which the Russian Federation is trying to sell.

As UNIAN reported, at the end of June, the invaders  cleared the waters of the  port of Berdyansk for the export of Ukrainian products.
