The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that achieving peace is a difficult task.
Turkey is in favor of preserving the territorial integrity of Ukraine, but does not rule out a “bitter choice” on the issue of territorial concessions .

The country’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said this in an interview with TRT World . According to him, there has been a big leap in the ceasefire negotiations, and Turkey is ready to contribute to peace and restoration in Ukraine in every possible way. “But first of all, we need a ceasefire. And we need an effective, long-term peace plan,” he said.
The minister noted that both European countries and Turkey, which he said could contribute more than many other players, should be at the negotiating table. “This is happening in our immediate neighborhood. And we have close ties on both sides,” Fidan added.
According to the Turkish minister, only time will tell whether the mediation of the United States of America will be enough to reach a compromise between Ukraine and the Russian Federation:
“In an ideal world, we would like to see [Ukraine’s] territorial integrity preserved. But now is the time of war.”

Turkey wants a seat at the table. It looks like putler will need to send his super, duper extra long table to these negotiations.

Wonder if he’d be so cavalier if it was Turkey land
