As the President directs U.S. troops to engage Iranian missiles aimed at Israel, the “woke” Right faces implosion.

Today, as American rockets fired into the sky to defend Israel from incoming missile strikes, Tucker Carlson—the American wunderkind of Kremlin dezinformatsia—broke his 2024-2025 platform of sycophancy to the American president, accusing Donald Trump of being “complicit in an act of war” and leading America down the path of nuclear destruction.

It’s a political civil war that has been brewing since January 20, 2025.

Little by little. Step by step.

Until now, there were still scapegoats to blame: the old Deep State; the forces within the CIA who are “actually calling the shots” in Ukraine; the NATO globalists. Anyone but Donald Trump—the hero of the “woke” Right and President of the United States.

But two weeks ago, Tucker Carlson realized he was about to cross the Rubicon, and there would be no turning back.

At that time, the House announced—through FBI Director Cash Patel and his FBI sidekick Dan Bongino—that the much-awaited Epstein files, long believed to prove a massive insider plot by Deep State pedophiles to cover their crimes through murder, were actually a nothing-burger. Epstein really did commit suicide. There was no cover-up. Not even a little one.

Carlson was denied the win he so desperately needed to validate his web of conspiracies, and his loyalties began to unravel further. 

For months now, Tucker Carlson has tried to straddle the sidelines. He built his nearly billion-dollar fortune presenting three things to the American public:

1. Conspiracy theories that depict American intelligence agencies as the arch-villains of modern history,
2. Adoration for Donald Trump as the man who will expose those conspiracies and end foreign wars with a Fortress America strategy, and
3. Utter detestation and contempt for the people of Ukraine and their right to be free from Russian war crimes. 

And now this: Trump is at war with Iran.

America is now at war—at least on the periphery. What Trump was unwilling to do for the innocent in Ukraine, he is now aggressively doing for our allies in Jerusalem.

The President has directed the United States military to protect Israeli citizens and forces by shooting down incoming Iranian missiles aimed at the Jewish state. The man who pledged to end all wars and be the president of peace has failed to negotiate peace with Hamas, failed to negotiate peace with Russia, and failed to negotiate peace with Iran. In fact, under his presidency, more than $6 billion in military resources has been sent to Israel. That number may soon triple.

It was too much for Carlson, who now faces his own existential career crisis – lose followers by criticizing the President, or lose followers by proving to be a hypocrite on one of his core talking points. 

“Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He’s weak and he’s ineffective.” Donald Trump, January , 2020

He chose the former. So Carlson accused Trump of inciting the war and betraying the “America First.”

“Despite being complicit in the act of war, the president hopes last night’s events will help his ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran…While the American military may not have physically perpetrated the assault, years of funding and sending weapons to Israel, which Donald Trump just bragged about on Truth Social, undeniably place the U.S. at the center of last night’s events.” 

He continued: 

“Washington knew these attacks would happen. They aided Israel in carrying them out… If Israel wants to wage this war, it has every right to do so… But not with America’s backing.”

“Politicians purporting to be America First can’t now credibly turn around and say they had nothing to do with it.”

Direct U.S. involvement in a war with Iran “would be a middle finger in the faces of the millions of voters who cast their ballots in hopes of creating a government that would finally put the United States first.”

This is the same Donald Trump who explicitly derided Joe Biden for an inability to negotiate—insisting that such weakness would inevitably plunge America into war with the jihadist nuclear power of Iran. But now, as Carlson invoked Pogo’s adage: “We have met the enemy and he is us.”

From Sycophant to Critic

For months, Carlson had taken every opportunity to gloat about his friendship with the President, while making regular strategic digs at White House foreign policy—always careful to deflect criticism away from Trump and onto unnamed, shadowy forces allegedly undermining his agenda.

There are practical concerns for Carlson. He is widely credited as the primary influence behind Trump’s selection of JD Vance as Vice President. His own son, Buckley Carlson, is a speechwriter for Vance and may have authored the infamous Munich speech in which the Vice President declared that the greatest threat to global peace was “censorship”—a sentiment that echoes Carlson’s own rhetoric.

Carlson, who has openly supported a Russian victory in Ukraine—calling it a battle for Christianity—has traveled multiple times to Moscow, presenting his audience of millions with direct disinformation from war criminals like Putin, Lavrov, and the Rasputin of Ukrainian genocide, Alexander Dugin. 

Back in the United States, Carlson has platformed Holocaust revisionists, agents paid to promote the KGB-controlled Muscovite national “church,” and an infamous American “war correspondent” exposed for fabricating war crimes and collaborating with the Kremlin. His show has been a refuge for known communist sympathizers and Putin apologists like Oliver Stone, and talking heads who receive compensation to attend Russian propaganda events, like Jeffrey Sachs.

Carlson had been cautiously supportive of elements of Trump’s Ukraine policy—hoping the same approach would apply to Israel. It was a good sign for Carlson when Trump refused to help Ukrainian civilians targeted by Russian missiles and drones. It was another good sign when Trump encouraged Russian aggression through unilateral concessions to Putin and false accusations against Kyiv. 

Carlson made sure to advance this perspective by featuring on his broadcast Trump’s special envoy to Russia, Bronx real estate developer Steve Witkoff, a man who described Putin as “a good Christian,” “trustworthy” and was quick to echo numerous Kremlin narratives. 

Carlson, is not a friend to Israel. He went to the air shortly after October 7massacre by Hamas in Israel, to present the case that Israel persecutes Christians. Later, in a broadcast with anti-Israel conspiracy theorist Candace Owens, he intimated that the October 7 assault on the innocent at the music festival was inexplicable without some collusion by the Israeli government. 

Now the man he helped to get elected is spending billions to help Iran fight a war. It’s a bridge too far for the former Fox News host. 

Carlson Used Trump—and Trump Used Carlson

The best way to understand the relationship between the Tucker Carlson branch of MAGA and President Trump is to see it as a marriage of convenience—mutually beneficial for a season, useful for personal advancement and financial success, but inevitably doomed to end in divorce…
