In Mali, local Tuareg rebels shot dead a column of well-armed Russian mercenaries from the African Corps, some of whom were previously members of the Wagner PMC.

As last year, the Tuaregs set up an ambush near the town of Tenenkou in the Mopti region.

The Russians claim four killed and eight wounded among the “African Corps” – a paramilitary group to advance Russian interests in Africa.

In terms of scale, the rebels compare this operation to an ambush on Wagner PMC militants in 2024. 80 people were killed then.
