US President-elect Donald Trump’s special representative for the war in Ukraine, General Keith Kellogg, has postponed a planned trip to Kyiv and other European capitals until Trump’s inauguration on January 20, Reuters reports, citing informed sources.
As the publication previously reported, Kellogg had originally planned to travel to Kyiv to meet with Ukrainian authorities in early January. His team also arranged meetings with officials in other European capitals, including Rome and Paris.
“But the trip, which would have been the first by new Trump administration officials to Kyiv since the Nov. 5 election, was postponed. Kellogg is now expected to travel to Ukraine after Trump takes office, although no date has been set,” the article says.
At the same time, Reuters points out, it is not yet clear why Kellogg is postponing the trip.

Probably cancelled because he knew he isn’t welcome?
Perhaps theoretically he could be violating US law if he travels before Trump takes office. Who knows what’s in Trump’s head.
