As I stated many times previously: the Putin wing of the GOP convinced their fans that Ukraine support is a leftist cause.
Why didn’t this eloquent pastor succeed in getting through to trump?
Let us hope that today’s horror re-energises Ukraine’s feeble allies.

As I stated many times previously, 5% or 7% hardly constitute a “wing.” Let’s try to be fair and accurate. Posting here is not a right, it is a privilege. Let’s not traffic garbage. Here is a dose of reality for you friend, you would be wise to see it:
A July 2023 Gallup poll reported that only 5% of all Americans rated Putin favorably, which was the lowest rating for him in Gallup’s history of polling.
A March 2025 CBS News/YouGov poll indicated that while support for Russia in its war against Ukraine was highest among Republicans at 7%,

My understanding of what Sir Scradge wrote is that the “the Putin wing of the GOP” refers to pro-putler GOP *leadership* (trumpkov, Gabbard, Gorka, etc.). They convinced their supporters to be anti-Ukraine, not to be pro-putler.

Perhaps the worst and an actual nazi; Carlson, was floated by Trump as a possible VP, until Carlson stated he had no interest. Another Nazi : Nick Fuentes, shouted at a rally to huge cheers :

That was the day after the full scale invasion. Most people would be disgusted. What did Trump do? He invited Fuentes to dine with him at Mar-A-Lago.

The responsibility for Ukraine hatred in the GOP lies with many, but mainly Trump, who repeatedly claimed that Zel is a dictator, demeaned him as a “salesman” and told him “you don’t have the cards.”
His vile son called Zel a “welfare queen.”
The Kursk incursion was ended by Trump at considerable loss of Ukrainian life, by the denial of intel support.
Two previous aid blocks caused thousands of Ukrainian deaths.
People like her are a dime a dozen, found all over America and across Europe. I’m getting to the point of thinking that people must pass an intelligence test before gaining the right to vote. Such stupid, easily manipulated people are what’s harming our democracy.

Trump refused to supply Ukraine with Tomahawks on the orders of his ally in Moscow. Now he has the West and Ukraine chasing after his elusive ‘Peace’ deal while his mate pounds Ukraine.
Instead of bleating about ‘escalation ‘ we need to supply Ukraine with anything that can take the war to Putin.
Russians are largely semi civilised thugs who only understand strength.
