Russia’s losses in the war against Ukraine are five times higher than those of Ukraine, said Keith Kellogg, the future special envoy of US President-elect Donald Trump to Ukraine, on Fox Business .

He noted that historically, Russia has used a strategy of mass attacks in war, which causes heavy losses on both sides – this is how they fought in World War II. He stressed that the current situation in Ukraine is a “classic war of attrition.”

Kellogg noted that the Russians lost hundreds of thousands of their soldiers during the war.

“After a thousand days of war, with 350,000 or 400,000 Russians dead and 150,000 Ukrainians dead or something like that, both sides are saying, ‘Maybe it’s time to take a step back,'” he added.

Kellogg noted that he believes that Trump will be able to end the war that Russia has started against Ukraine.

Russia’s losses in Ukraine

Since the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost over 3,600 tanks. The same fate befell nearly 8,000 armored vehicles.

These figures are provided by British intelligence. It is noted that due to heavy losses of equipment, the Russians are forced to rely on outdated and poorly maintained equipment from the Soviet era.Advertising

According to official statistics from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, Russia has already lost 766,690 of its soldiers. More than 600 aircraft, 20,000 drones, 29 boats and ships have also been destroyed. Thousands of other equipment have also been turned into scrap metal.

  1. “After a thousand days of war, with 350,000 or 400,000 Russians dead and 150,000 Ukrainians dead or something like that…”

Kellogg is bad at math and military facts, or something like that.
The ratio 400,000 to 150,000 is not one to five. And, he’s also not aware that the classic rule of thumb for a loss ratio in an attacking force versus a defending force is 3 to 1, which makes the current roach ratio worse than those of past wars.
Keith, go back to military academy … or get your money back.

  2. I agree with all the comments but it’s the first time he gave Ukraine something positive, even if it’s a with the back of his hand slap
