US President Donald Trump has made a new statement about how much aid to Ukraine cost Washington. He said he wants the money back and spoke not only about rare metals, but also oil and “whatever we can get.”
“The US gave 350 billion dollars to Ukraine because we had a stupid, incompetent administration and president. We gave Ukraine $350 billion. The US is trying to get back the money it spent earlier to help Ukraine, and it will achieve that,” the American leader said.
According to him, Europe gave Ukraine money in the form of a loan, and allegedly received its funds back.
“We gave money in the form of nothing. So I want them to give us something for all the money that we put in. And I’m going to try to get a settlement to the war. And I’m going to try to stop all this death. So we’re asking for rare metals and oil and whatever we can get. <…> So we’re going to get our money back. We’re going to get our money back because it’s not fair. It’s just not fair,” Donald Trump added.
