In recent days, Russia’s behavior and escalation of its strikes on Ukraine have intensified the “fury” of US President Donald Trump, who is insisting on a ceasefire, Axios reports , citing a senior White House official.

It is recalled that on Friday, March 7, Trump threatened Russia with new sanctions and tariffs to force the Kremlin to agree to a ceasefire and a peaceful settlement with Ukraine.

“Based on the fact that Russia is “beating” Ukraine on the battlefield right now, I am strongly considering massive banking sanctions, sanctions and tariffs on Russia until a ceasefire and a final peace agreement are reached. Russia and Ukraine – sit down at the negotiating table right now before it’s too late,” Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.

As Axios added, this is the first time Trump has publicly threatened Russia since taking office, after taking a softer stance on Vladimir Putin while simultaneously attacking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Russia’s massive strike on Ukraine on March 7

As a reminder, on the night and morning of March 7, Russia massively attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones . It was reported that the Russians attacked critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine with various types of air, ground, and sea-based missiles.

Ukraine’s air defense forces managed to shoot down 34 Russian missiles and 100 drones.

“The main focus of the strike is on the facilities of the gas production industry of Ukraine,” the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

  1. So trumpkov stopped the flow of weapons to Ukraine, and stopped all intelligence sharing, which will lead to innocent civilians dying. And that’s a “negotiating tactic” to force Ukraine to allow him to steal their minerals.

But in the case of his bestie, putler, trumpkov is just “strongly considering” sanctions and tariffs. (Tariffs, of course, hurt the American consumer. Or would, if we were importing much from russia in the first place.)

  2. Trump can never be trusted again. Trump is a gutless wonder and makes Joe Biden look like General Patton.

      • You can’t ever fathom the depth of hate I have for this treasonous felon, Red. There’s no changing that, so live with it. Unless he makes a 180 degree turnaround, which is very unlikely.

      • Excuse me, but where do you see “good news”?

All I see is a social media post saying that trumpkov is “considering” sanctions. I give that as much credence as I gave his claims that he’d stop the war in one day.

We see *actions* that are hurting Ukraine; no actions that would help Ukraine.

  3. So Trump stops all aid and intelligence sharing to get Ukraine to the negotiating table. What is he doing to get russia to the negotiating table, threaten sanctions and tariffs on a country it does no business with?
