Trump will give Ukraine ‘two weeks to work out a deal with Putin’ | Former US ambassador

Jan 17, 2024

“His strategy on Ukraine is to call President Zelensky and say we’re cutting off support. You’ve got two weeks to work out a deal with President Putin.” If Trump is re-elected he will cut support to Ukraine and pull back on the US’s Nato commitments, says Former US ambassador Lewis Lukens.

  1. Until Trump actually says that himself, we can take it with a pinch of salt. Firstly Trump has to get re-elected, secondly, I doubt Trump even knows what he will say to Zelensky.

    • The interviewee is a career diplomat. He’s being diplomatic. The reality will be much worse.
You only have to look at the words Trump has already spoken on this topic for proof. Then look at the people whose opinion Trump trusts : Michael Savage, Douglas Macgregor, Paul Manafort, DT Jr etc.

      • Yeah, “career” diplomat….ambassador to Senegal and Guinea…lmfao…he knows a lot about Ukraine…he was born in Paris too. Where do you find these guys Scradge?..lol

        • He’s not saying anything that Trump hasn’t already said himself.
On the same outlet: Times Radio, John Bolton, who knows Trump quite well, said the same thing.
For confirmation of Trump’s loathing of Ukraine, read Bolton’s book, in which he details private conversations with the kremlin’s top asset. Lev Parnes says the same.
Kurt Volker, who you seem to trust, also wrote a book about his dealings with Trumpkov. The quotes about Ukraine are word for word the same as Bolton.
See my reply to F1, for the names of some of the people whose advice Trump trusts.
Trump has indicated that a place will be found in govt for Fucker Karlsonov; maybe even VP. What you think Karlsonov will do with Ukraine? Take a wild fucking guess.
Ditto Douglas Macgregor: another Trump confidant.
Trump has discussed live on air with another friend; Michael Savage; the partition of Ukraine.
He blurted out to George Stephanopulous back in 2015 his plans for Crimea.

  2. The Congress and Senate will decide, not a ‘dictator’. Yet RuSSia unfortunately can bring more men into the field than Ukraine. A total ukrainian victory is unrealistic so far despite the heroic sacrifice of the fighters.

  3. Trump can’t take the US out of NATO. Congress has approved legislation that would prevent any president from withdrawing the United States from NATO without approval from the Senate or an Act of Congress.
If there is no aid from the US anyway, the other part of this statement is also moot.

    • He can’t. But he’s not actually obliged to act if say Estonia is attacked. Nato is political not military. The US asked Nato to act after 9/11. Many members disagreed with Bush and did not help. The UK did help of course.

      • I wonder if he could possibly be so stupid to allow Europe to be destroyed without lifting a finger. It would be interesting to know what the American people would think about this, even the maga morons.

        • “I wonder if he could possibly be so stupid”

You’re talking about someone who sexually abused and defamed E. Jean Carroll, for which he had to pay $5 million in damages. Then he continued defaming her and was hauled into court again, and will likely have to pay millions more in damages. And while the second trial was going on, made 30 more posts about her.

So I don’t think it’s really possible to underestimate trumpkov’s stupidity.

  4. I’m in the salt camp with foccusser. That’s merely Lewis’ opinion. In Trump’s speech after the Iowa win he again promised to end the war but sounded more realistic this time. At least he didn’t say it would end in 24 hours. He said he knows Putin and knows Zelenskyy. If that’s true – if he genuinely knows how these two individuals think – there is only one way to end the war: Push Russia back to their own country. If Trump wins in november, we may find out just how horribly Biden has botched everything, from sanctions to leadership to military support and everything in between.

  5. “I don’t think now is the time for comprehensive immigration reform,..”

Is there a comment more lunar, inappropriate, ridiculous than this one? while elected officials have been discussing this issue, described as vital, by the GOP for 2 months?

    So be….
some assholes here will still manage to convince themselves that it’s still Biden or the Democrats’ fault. Even if the Dems voted for HR2, this bastard communist gangrene would find an excuse to delay the vote. This is their goal, their only goal! Fucking garbage!

The song was known. At each opening of negotiations the conditions were re-evaluated. In such a way that the legislative extremists always have the upper hand. It doesn’t matter to solve the problems of the US worker. Do you know how much these bastards earn? We can wait for the next president. In defiance of the border emergency! But what will remain of the USA…

One thing is certain, I look forward to seeing the mess that the opposing camp will make when they are able to do the same thing. And to ask for the abortion pill in exchange for a few extra meters for a wall.

    Good Luck!

    • “some assholes here will still manage to convince themselves that it’s still Biden or the Democrats’ fault.”

Good news for those people – Russia Wants to Build a Safe Space for Conservative Americans to Move To

“Amid Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, and the American Republican Party splitting on its support for the defending nation, Russian authorities apparently are launching construction of a special village outside Moscow dedicated to conservative-minded Americans and Canadians.”

    • I read a lot of articles about Johnson. His induction speech already sounded false. It’s a fucking snake who validated the theses of the theft of the elections. He will do anything to save Trump’s so-called nobility and favor the “wrong side*.

  6. We all know scadge1 loves to post articles by unobjective democratic party partisans that are all suffering from permanent dislike/hatred of the Republican party . The very important Ambassador Lewis Lukens appointed by Obama to Senegal is obviously an expert on being a democratic party partisan but certainly is NOT in any position to really know what Trump would do about Ukraine if elected in 2024. After all which President first sent lethal aid to Ukraine after Russia’s 2014 invasion of Crimea?Trump.

Ambassador Lukens is a multigenerational State Department careerist and is a Hillary Clinton groupie who absolutely had no problem with Hillary destroying 10,000 emails and subverting/obstructing investigations into her illegal use of unsecured email servers to conduct official Secretary of State business. He was one of those in the State Department who were ecstatic that “the adults” were back in charge of US foreign policy after the 2020 election. How has that worked out for the US and for the western world?

    • It was an interview on Times Radio, which actually interviews more right leaning people than left, such as John Bolton, Ben Hodges, William Hague etc.
Please back up your fatuous claim by providing a list of articles by Dem partisans that I posted. Or withdraw your bullshit accusation.
The vast majority of articles I post come from conservative sources, such as the Telegraph.

    • “We all know scadge1 loves to post”…

No, we don’t know anything of the sort.

“which President first sent lethal aid to Ukraine”

The Javelins that had to be stored in western Ukraine, which is far from the frontlines? The Javelins were essentially provided to Ukraine under the condition that they not be used in the conflict zone.

Furthermore, trumpkov was actually reluctant to sell the missiles to Ukraine and did so only after he was persuaded it would be good for US business.

      “Hillary destroying 10,000 emails”

She didn’t; I doubt she’d know how. I could go into great detail on this if you want…

“her illegal use of unsecured email servers”

It wasn’t a crime when Hillary did it (nor when Colin Powell did it before her). They changed the rules later. You can see State Department spokesman John Kirby confirm it here:

  7. For those still in denial about who is blocking support for Ukraine:

Now that the Senate appears to have hammered out a bipartisan immigration reform measure, House speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said yesterday: “It’s a complex issue. I don’t think now is the time for comprehensive immigration reform, because we know how complicated that is.” After a meeting at the White House with President Biden, Senate majority leader Chuck Schumer, Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell, House minority leader Hakeem Jeffries, and committee heads, Johnson still refused to put the proposed deal up for a vote in the House.
