U.S. President Donald Trump has stressed the need to achieve peace between Ukraine and Russia, because, according to him, they have been fighting “too long.”
“I think the situation in Ukraine is very important. I think that the meetings coming up with Russia and Ukraine are very important. And there’s a possibility that some very big progress can be made,” Trump said in London on December 3, speaking at a joint press conference with his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron.
He also stressed that “it’s very important for Ukraine. I think it’s very important from the standpoint of Russia, also, that they work out a treaty, they work out peace, because they’ve been fighting a long time. Too long. And I think there’s a really good chance that that will happen.”
A Normandy Four summit is to take place in Paris on December 9. The meeting will be attended by the leaders of four countries: Ukraine, Russia, France, and Germany. It will be the first meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.
A key issue on the agenda is resolving the conflict in Donbas.
The last such meeting at the level of the leaders of the states took place in Berlin on October 19, 2016. Its participants acknowledged that there was no breakthrough in the settlement of the conflict in Donbas.

Bah! Why can’t he say how it really is?!
Russia attacked/invaded Ukraine, violating borders, breaking treaties, using brute force.
Tell Putin to stop his one-sided campaign against Ukraine and get the hell out! Ukrainian citizens, no matter the language or ethnicity, are not Russia’s business!
Grow a spine, man! Grow a spine!
Tymoshenko, Poroshenko and Vakarchuk raise 5 “red lines” before Zelensky on the eve of Normandy format meeting
12/04/2019 13:15:05.
Three parliamentary factions have appealed to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with a joint statement before the negotiations in the Normandy format scheduled for December 9. This is reported by Radio Liberty.
The “statement on the prevention of violation of the national interests of Ukraine” was signed by leaders of the European Solidarity political party Petro Poroshenko, the Voice party Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and the All-Ukrainian Union Batkivshchyna Yulia Tymoshenko.
The politicians declared five “red lines”, “the violation of which will cause irreparable harm to Ukraine”.
“1. No compromises on a unitary state and no federalization.
2. No compromises regarding the European and Euro-Atlantic course.
3. No political actions, in particular, elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Donbass, until the security and de-occupation conditions are met. In particular, the withdrawal of Russian troops, the disarmament of illegal armed formations, the establishment of control over the state border.
4. No compromises on the de-occupation and the return of Crimea to Ukraine.
5. No cessation of international trials against Russia”, – these are the demands of leaders of the three factions.
As reported, the Normandy format meeting would be held in Paris on December 9 with the participation of leaders of Ukraine, Germany, France and Russia. The last time such negotiations took place in October 2016.
Veth, are you not able to post articles anymore? Let me know if you need some help…short of a new operating system that is ;))
I guess the modem he was using on his Commodore 64 kicked it. 😂
Poor Veth, maybe we should pass the hat for him.
:)))
He’s an idiot! He’s fucking with us! An asshole not replying to our questions and not communicating with us should fuck off! We are a team, we are supposed to be buddies, and we don’t need no asshole sneaking around, spamming articles and diverting discussions. He is free to comment, but any article posted on my articles will be erased, except for those that are at least related to my article.
He/She certainly is an interesting character considering we don’t know anything about him/her. We all have the threat of ruSSki hacking or worse but he just popped into UkraineToday 2.0 and started posting, lmao!
I don’t doubt he loves Ukraine but he could be a more responsible team member, tak.
How long would we fight if Russia decided to take back Alaska because there is a number of Russian speaking residents and it was once theirs.
Would 5 years be too long ?
