Several American Democratic lawmakers have publicly called on the White House to more actively protect American businesses in Ukraine and condemn Moscow’s actions.

While US President Donald Trump and his administration are increasing pressure on Ukraine, calling for an end to attacks on Russian oil refineries and citing their negative impact on American consumers, they are not commenting on the recent Russian attacks on American companies in Ukraine, CNN reports .

As noted, over the past several months, Russia has intensified attacks on targets associated with American corporations, as well as on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine in general.

According to Andriy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, Russian missiles and drones damaged facilities belonging to well-known American brands, including Coca-Cola, PepsiCo, McDonald’s, and Oreo.

He noted that while Russia had previously attempted to hinder the successful operations of American companies, “nothing like what we have seen in recent months has ever happened before.”

“These are direct strikes using drones and missiles, and they continue to carry them out. This is a signal that they are targeting American businesses. We have seen no reaction from the White House… This must stop, because it is American interests, American money, and American investors that are being attacked and targeted,” Gounder emphasized.
