Trump says in a letter to Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre that he “no longer feels obligated to think purely about peace.” According to the American president, Norway has refused to award him the Nobel Peace Prize. This is remarkable, because an independent committee, not the country itself, awards the prize.
“While peace will always prevail, I can now think about what is good and right for the United States,” Trump writes. He reiterates his intention to take Greenland. “The world is not safe unless we have complete control of Greenland.”
