US President Donald Trump said he spoke with Senator Lindsey Graham hours before his death, speaking on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

“Apart from fatigue, he felt fine,” Trump shared.

According to the US President, Senator Graham passed away quickly. He added that it was “probably not the worst way to go.”

Trump, speaking to reporters, noted that the late senator was a close ally of his. The US president said that Graham was “like family” to him.

Trump also noted that he regularly spoke on the phone with the late senator and played golf with him. He recalled that before his death, Graham had just returned from a trip to Ukraine.

The US President said that shortly before his death, Graham called him to discuss the SAVE America Act, which would change the way elections are held, but does not have enough support to pass in the Senate.Read also:
