As the coronavirus tore through the world in 2020, and the United States and other countries confronted a shortage of tests designed to detect the illness, then-President Donald Trump secretly sent coveted tests to Russian President Vladimir Putin for his personal use.
Putin, petrified of the virus, accepted the supplies but took pains to prevent political fallout — not for him, but for his American counterpart. He cautioned Trump not to reveal that he had dispatched the scarce medical equipment to Moscow, according to a new book by Washington Post associate editor Bob Woodward.
Putin, according to the book, told Trump, “I don’t want you to tell anybody because people will get mad at you, not me.”
Four years later, the personal relationship between the two men appears to have persisted, Woodward reports, as Trump campaigns to return to the White House and Putin orchestrates his bloody assault on Ukraine. In early 2024, the former president ordered an aide away from his office at Mar-a-Lago, his private club and residence in Florida, so he could conduct a private phone call with the Russian leader, according to Woodward’s account.
Americans are allergic to anti-Trump propaganda. Better outline why Kamala, who escaped a clear answer on Ukraine’s Nato-membership, is the better candidate, instead of posting crap. IMHO.
Crap for one guy is wisdom for others. By the way I dislike passionately both idiots. They’re are a poor representation of what’s good about the US and frankly a poor outcome for the citizens of the US. IMHO
I don’t consider Kamala an idiot. I personally endorsed her. But concerning illegal immigration and Ukraine she fucked up so far.
Seems to me that it’s factual news reporting, not propaganda. I found it interesting; I hadn’t heard that before.

Seems to me that it’s obvious to most people. Anyone who still thinks that trumpkov is still worthy of the office is deep in the cult and wouldn’t listen to facts.
That is the exact problem. Instead of trying to solve problems people like you are hung up in ideology.
I’m not “hung up in ideology”; I’m being realistic. I fact-check when people post lies, but facts are kryptonite for those in the MAGAt cult. The only hope is that trumpkov’s dementia progression becomes so obvious that they can’t explain it away.
(Keeping it relevant to Ukraine – I’ve specifically doing a bunch of fact-checking regarding FEMA’s response to hurricane Helene. There have been a number of posts saying that aid to Ukraine is taking away money for disaster relief. This is the same russian disinformation that we saw following the Maui fire last year, and the East Palestine, Ohio, railway disaster in February 2023.)
