US President Donald Trump has said that he is not ruling out any options for annexing Greenland , including considering the possibility of using military force.
In an interview with NBC News, Trump said that he “absolutely” had real conversations about annexing Greenland and expressed confidence that the US would “100% get Greenland.”
He also added that there was a good chance the US could do it without military force, but that he was not ruling out any options.
At the same time, Trump said that he was not concerned about the reaction to the annexation of Greenland from the rest of the world, including Russia.
“I don’t really think about it. I don’t really care. Greenland is a completely separate issue, a completely different one. This is an international world. This is international security and power,” he said.

By being so public with this insane idea, it means that he must have already asked military chiefs to draw up plans for an invasion of Greenland on the putler/Crimea business model. This at least partly explains his support for the invasion back in 2014.
The military should be informing him that they will not invade a friendly country that is a Nato member under any circumstances.

I hope our military leaders will remember the duty to disobey a general order that is contrary to the Constitution, the laws of the United States, or lawful superior orders or for some other reason is beyond the authority of the official issuing it.
From what I have read, it is Congress that is the only authority that can give permission for the country to go to war. If they vote for this annexation, it won’t just be Trump, but the US that will be guilty.
