US President Donald Trump has said that he personally asked Russian leader Vladimir Putin to stop attacks on Ukraine for a week due to the freezing cold weather.

Quote: “I personally asked President Putin not to fire into Kyiv and various towns for a week, and he agreed to do that.” [N.B. Ukrainska Pravda does not recognise Putin as president – ed.]

He added that this was because of “the cold, extreme cold”.

Trump did not specify whether he and Putin had a telephone call or whether their communication took place in some other form.

He also did not specify when this happened and when the “week” was supposed to start.

A new wave of freezing cold weather is expected to hit Ukraine on Friday, with temperatures in the north plunging to almost -30 degrees Celsius, while hundreds of apartment buildings in Kyiv still have no heating since Russia’s latest attacks and the situation in the energy sector remains difficult overall.

  1. What a pathetic loser. A great America would put the fear of God into that runty war criminal. No asking, begging, or pleading. One command, and that’s it.

  2. Now that the damage has already been done. Just like his loudmouth promises to the Iranians. Too late as always.

  3. I only believe what i see. If it works, there might be some progress. On the other side, as long as Moscow demands from Ukraine to give up the part of Donbas the AFU still controls, i don’t see any breakthrough.
