Trump commented on the speech of the Canadian Prime Minister, in which he declared the end of the US- led , rules-based international order.
The American president addressed the head of the Canadian government directly, stating that his country depends on the United States.

He also added that Carney, in his opinion, did not show the US proper gratitude during his speech at the Davos forum . Separately, Trump said that Canada gets “a lot of free things” from Washington.
In particular, he mentioned the future American missile defense system “Golden Dome”, which, according to Trump, will also cover the territory of Canada.

I fear that history is not a subject in the US, or maybe the schools that TACO attended.
The British North America Act received Royal Assent on 29th March 1867 and went into effect 1st July 1867. The Act united the three separate territories of Canada, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick into a single dominion called Canada. I see no reference to the USA in this Act.
