US President Donald Trump has described a “great” conversation with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, insisting that the Kremlin leader is seeking peace and that Ukraine is resisting.
He said this while talking to journalists, Censor.NET reports .
About a possible trilateral meeting
” It could happen. We had a great conversation ,” Trump said.
He also did not rule out a trilateral meeting with Putin and Zelensky.
On the main obstacle to the deal
According to Trump, the hatred between the presidents of Russia and Ukraine is the main obstacle to resolving the war.
” We had a great conversation with Putin. He wants to make a deal. If Zelensky wants to make a deal, that would be very good. The delay is two people who hate each other ,” Trump said, repeating the thesis about the leaders’ personal relationships as a key problem.
Trump added that he was confident in the possibility of concluding an agreement after talks with the parties:
