During a telephone conversation between the presidents of Ukraine and the United States, Donald Trump promised to investigate whether military aid to Kyiv had indeed been suspended, Axios reports , citing informed sources.
It is noted that the conversation between the presidents lasted about 40 minutes and was mainly devoted to Ukraine’s needs in the field of air defense.
An unnamed Ukrainian official and another source familiar with the conversation told reporters that Trump was aware of Russia’s recent attacks on Ukraine and appeared to have expressed a desire to help.
“Trump said he wanted to help with air defense, and that he would check what was suspended, if anything,” the source said.
According to a Ukrainian official, Trump and Zelensky agreed on a separate meeting of the specialized teams of both countries to discuss in detail issues of air defense and arms supplies in general.

He should know. There was a comment earlier that this sort of decision would have come from POTUS. I would agree with that too except that we might remember a while back, the Pentagon ordered audits a couple of months ago.
