Trump on possible strike on Iran: Nobody knows what I want to do

US President Donald Trump on Wednesday evaded a direct answer regarding the possible involvement of the United States in Israeli strikes on Iranian targets.

He told reporters about this near the White House, Censor.NET reports with reference to ” EP “.

“I may or may not do it. Nobody knows what I want to do,” he said. Trump also added that Iran has serious problems and is eager to negotiate.

He stressed that Iran should have been ready for dialogue even before Israel launched strikes. According to the president, the Iranian side had even expressed a willingness to come to the White House, although it would be “difficult for them.”

Trump did not specify how long the current conflict might last, but noted that Iran’s air defense system is “almost destroyed.” He also said he saw the solution in “two simple words: unconditional surrender.”

Separately, he expressed concern about Iran’s nuclear program, noting that the country’s leadership has “evil intentions.” At the same time, Trump assured that he respects the Iranian people: “I love the Iranians. I’ve met many of them throughout my career.”

As a reminder, US President Donald Trump held a meeting with the National Security Council regarding the situation in the Middle East , during which the possibility of US intervention in the conflict was considered.
