President Volodymyr Zelenskyy received a proposal from US Senators Kevin Cramer and Roger Wicker to refrain from striking energy facilities on russian territory after all. According to sources familiar with the situation who spoke to The Wall Street Journal, Kyiv would receive expanded coverage of the Starlink satellite system in exchange.
Both senators—from North Dakota and Mississippi—arrived in the Ukrainian capital to meet with Zelenskyy on Friday, October 16. They are proposing to expand Starlink’s coverage area by approximately 300 kilometers into russian territory.
According to the WSJ, the Ukrainian president accepted this proposal and declared his readiness to halt attacks on oil refineries in the aggressor country for 100 days.
It should be recalled that following the so-called “energy ceasefire” announced by Trump—during which dozens of civilians were killed in Ukraine due to shelling by the occupiers—Zelenskyy issued an order reinstating strikes on russian oil refineries.
Back in September, during his meeting with Trump, Zelenskyy raised the issue of operating Starlink satellite communications over russian territory, which would allow for the destruction of launchers used to shell Ukrainian cities. In response, the White House chief suggested contacting the satellite’s creator, Elon Musk, directly.

So, a one sided ceasefire is announced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How about Ukraine given extended use of starlink to destroy oil refineries, if mafia land doesn’t stop attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure?
