United States President Donald Trump says he is not currently considering using military force against Canada, but “something could happen” with Greenland  .

In an interview with  NBC News  , he said he would discuss his dream of making Canada the 51st American state with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, but he did not expect it to involve the use of military force. However, he could not say the same about Greenland:

“Something could happen with Greenland, I’ll be honest. We need it for national and international security. I don’t see it with Canada. I just don’t see it.”

According to Trump, Canada could become a “dream state” and North America could be “beautiful” without the US-Canada border. “When I look at it, without this artificial line that was drawn by a ruler many years ago… You can’t even imagine what a beautiful country it would be. It would be wonderful,” he added.
