The American leader believes that “it would be wonderful” if everyone got rid of their nuclear weapons.
US President Donald Trump said he had made “significant progress” with Ukraine and Russia.
“I will say that we have made significant progress with Ukraine and Russia in recent days. It would be great to complete this so that we don’t have to talk about nuclear weapons,” he said.
The American leader noted that “it would be wonderful” if everyone got rid of their nuclear weapons.
“You know, we and Russia have the most. China will have the same in 4-5 years. It would be great for everybody to disarm, because nuclear weapons are crazy. I’ve come a long way with Russia, despite this nonsense about ‘Russia, Russia, Russia.’ That was a complete hoax perpetrated by bad people. But I was close to a program with Russia to disarm, and we will bring China in,” Trump added.
He said he had spoken with Chinese President Xi Jinping and the Chinese leader “would be happy to join.”
“But bad things happened, like the rigged election (Trump is referring to the 2020 US election, in which he lost to Biden – ed.) So we had to come back after 4 years. But I would very much like to start these negotiations. Denuclearization would be incredible,” the American president said.
