Trump is not going to impose sanctions against Russia: NYT reveals the reason

Earlier, Trump put forward several conditions for introducing new sanctions against Russia.

US President Donald Trump will most likely not impose sanctions against Russia. The reason is that some European countries will not meet his main demands , writes  The New York Times .

The publication recalled that Trump had previously set conditions for introducing new sanctions against Russia. He said that he would do so only if all NATO member countries did the same. He also demanded that all members of the Alliance stop purchasing Russian oil and impose high duties on China.

The European Commission has promised to work on the issue with its partners around the world. Moreover, Trump, in a telephone conversation with European leaders, urged them to reduce their purchases of Russian oil as soon as possible.

The publication believes that this condition will almost certainly not be met, which the US president and his advisers know. The largest European buyers of Russian oil are Hungary and Türkiye, and they are unlikely to stop buying.

However, many other European countries have significantly reduced their imports of Russian oil, and some still rely on Russian natural gas, something Trump did not mention, the newspaper added.Read also:

Journalists recalled that the US president has repeatedly threatened to take action against Russia, but each time he found a new way to avoid it. For example, the Alaska summit with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin promised to pave the way for a bilateral meeting between the Kremlin leader and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. It is obvious that such a meeting will not take place in the near future.

  1. There will never be any repercussions for the horrid crimes committed by mafia land. They are under the protection of TACO. Unfortunately, our Congress won’t get anything done, either. Too many are still pathetic gofers for this gangster.

    • Why hasn’t TACO said he will supply any shortfall in oil and gas to the EU? Why should the EU destroy their economies with stupid tariffs that benefit no-one?

      • I don’t see it Sir Foccusser. You know my feelings about Trump but in this case I agree with him. Europe has more to lose and yet they’re doing some, but not as much as they should. Take a hard look at these countries. Many accuse the US was just greedy, well Europe may not be as bad but they’re close

      • Taco is just confused. If he doesn’t have instructions with pictures, he can’t comprehend it, and even then, he needs a tutor.

  2. Of course TACO has instructed Hungary and Slovakia to block any moves on sanctioning russian oil. His life is not worth upsetting putler. Who knows what will be revealed by mafia land.

  3. “US President Donald Trump will most likely not impose sanctions against Russia. The reason is that some European countries will not meet his main demands.”

That’s as if trumpkov said “I’ll impose sanctions when Hell freezes over,” and the NYT said the reason is that Hell refuses to turn down the thermostat.

The real reason is that trumpkov doesn’t want to do it, and so set prerequisites that he knew would never be met.
