According to the US president, all countries that cooperate with Iran will from now on pay a 25% tariff on all trade

US President Donald Trump announced the introduction of new trade restrictions against countries that cooperate with Iran. He announced this in a post on the social network Truth Social.
According to Trump, from now on, such countries will have to pay a 25% tariff on all trade transactions with the United States.
“Effective immediately: Any country that does business with the Islamic Republic of Iran will pay a 25% tariff on any and all trade with the United States of America. This decision is final and unconditional,” the White House said in a statement.
At the same time, Trump did not specify whether there are any exceptions or a transition period for the new tariffs, as well as which sectors of the economy may be most affected.
Protests in Iran: latest news
UNIAN previously reported that the human rights group HRANA said that at least 500 people may have died in Iran as a result of anti-government protests. The US-based human rights group cited this data, citing information received from activists in Iran and outside the country.
During the two weeks of unrest in the country, about 10,600 people have also probably been detained. Reuters noted that the Iranian government has not announced official data on the number of victims. People took to the protests demanding that the government resign.
In response, the authorities ordered the Internet and mobile communications to be turned off in the country. For this reason, it is currently difficult to assess the scale of the protests.
We also wrote that the head of European diplomacy, Kaia Kallas, stated her readiness to propose additional sanctions against Iran due to the regime’s brutal suppression of protesters. Kallas noted that sanctions are already in place against Iran for human rights violations, nuclear proliferation activities, and support for Russia’s war in Ukraine.

Yay! More sanctions on Moskovia.
This is his answer for more people being detained, tortured and killed? What a joke.
What would you suggest?
What I was alluding to was all the bluster, and this is what he came up with.
More money that needs to be paid back…
That’s quite pathetic after he made such strong threats last week. Taco as usual.
What would you suggest?
Strike at key leaders, government buildings, the presidential palace, military facilities, communication centers, and airports, for starters. There’s a lot that could be done.
Trump said last night and again today he wants names and addresses of those killing or torturing protesters.
He’s wasting precious time. He can get the list after the regime has been eliminated.
Being a former military guy, I’m sure you understand sometimes planning missions on the other side of the world take time to ensure the safety of our heroes.
I sure do, but where was the time to plan those strikes a few months ago?
I’m quite certain our military already has more than enough info as to what lies where in Iran and what importance it has to the mullahs.
We’ll see if the two main supporters of Iran, China and mafia land are going to receive these tariffs. My guess is nothing will happen unless TACO gets some kind of deal with the Shah’s son.
It sounds like its mostly China that buys their oil. That’s one of the reasons I was surprised by this. The US doesn’t buy much from the land of misfits so any progress would be the secondary sanctions on the others and any pressure from them.
