These ideas of the head of the White House were outlined in a secret document that was passed on to the Ukrainian authorities and European allies.

US President Donald Trump expects a response from Kyiv regarding the recognition of Crimea as Russian and the refusal to join NATO.

This is stated in the material of  The Wall Street Journal  (WSJ). The journalists, citing sources, reported that these ideas were set out in a secret document that was handed over to the Ukrainian authorities and European allies in Paris.

“Ukraine is under pressure this week to respond to a series of far-reaching ideas from the Trump administration, including potential US recognition of Russia’s occupation of Crimea and Kyiv’s refusal to join NATO,” the publication wrote.

Another US idea, according to Western officials, involves designating the territory near the Zaporizhzhia NPP as neutral, which could be under American control. The WSJ suggests that the Zaporizhzhia NPP would supply electricity to both Ukraine and the occupied territories.

The WSJ notes that, according to Western officials, these ideas were outlined in a confidential document presented by the Trump team to Ukrainian counterparts. They were also shared with senior European officials.

“The US is now waiting for Kyiv’s answers, which will likely be voiced at a meeting of US, Ukrainian, and European negotiators in London. If the parties agree on their positions, they can be passed on to Moscow,” the publication wrote.

A senior U.S. State Department official called Trump’s ideas options for Kyiv to consider, not “accept or reject.” The official said a “list of potential options” had been provided “for discussion and feedback.”

The USA and the war in Ukraine

On April 18, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio hinted that the US was fed up with Ukraine . “The Ukrainian war is a terrible thing, but it’s not our war. We didn’t start it. The US has been helping Ukraine for over three years, and we want this to end,” Rubio said at the time, adding that ending the war in Ukraine is, of course, important, but there are other important issues besides that.

Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the US expects   to agree on a complete ceasefire  in Ukraine within the coming weeks.

On April 17, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot announced that  the next round of talks  to end the war in Ukraine would be held in London next week.

  1. The shit sandwich about to be served up to poor Ukraine by Krasnov’s putrid criminal regime appears similar to what appeared in Captain Cornflake’s “Russia First” surrender document of one year ago.
I can’t think that Ukrainians will want to agree with this.
Which is what Krasnov wants, because he can then formalise his US-putlerstan union and join Iran, China, NK and all the other shitholes in working to defeat Ukraine.

  2. Off topic: The visit of Vance to the Pope was too much for him……………………..R.I.P.

  3. Trump is by far the worst possible president to have in office when the free world is in grave danger. His legacy will be a negative one, from start to bitter end.
