President Donald Trump has been depicted as Adolf Hitler on the front cover of the latest issue of a leading European news magazine.
The January 9 edition of Objektiv, a Slovenian weekly magazine-style supplement published by the newspaper Dnevnik, features a portrait image of Trump with crude oil dripping over his top lips from below his nose. The positioning of the oil gives it the appearance of a mustache in the style Hitler was known for. The cover includes the subhead “American Attack on Venezuela.”
Why It Matters
Trump has faced comparisons to Hitler at several points during his time in office. Critics have often pointed to a parallel between his comments on nationalism, the media and immigration and authoritarian regimes like Nazi Germany.
In a December 2023 reelection event, Trump drew criticism for sayings illegal immigrants were “poisoning the blood of our country.” He later reiterated the claim on Truth Social, posting in all caps that “illegal immigration is poisoning the blood of our nation. They’re coming from prisons, from mental institutions—from all over the world.” Trump’s detractors noted that Hitler used the term “blood poisoning” while discussing immigration in his manifesto Mein Kampf.
Trump has always rejected the comparisons, blaming the media for using that kind of rhetoric.
“They call me a Nazi all the time,” Trump said during an interview with 60 Minutes. “I’m not a Nazi, I’m the opposite. I’m somebody that’s saving our country. But they call me a Nazi.”

In my opinion, Trump is just trying to get more security on Greenland. We will see after their meeting today. Trump did the same thing with NATO, he threatened to leave and suddenly everyone agreed to 5% when many NATO nations were not even putting in the required 2%. Now Trump loves NATO 🙂
The United States is invited to have more bases in Greenland if desired, but our territorial integrity is granted by all members of the UN, and any violations will have severe consequences!
The 1951 Greenland Defence Agreement allowed the United States to keep its military bases in Greenland, and to establish new bases or “defense areas” if deemed necessary by NATO. The US don’t need to purchase or annex Greenland.
