The US President-elect said he believes in further mutual understanding with the Chinese leader.
“We have already spoken. We have spoken through our representatives,” the agency quotes Trump as saying in an interview with conservative talk show host Hugh Hewitt.
It is noted that Trump described the Chinese leader as “a strong and powerful man who, according to him, is respected in China.”
“And I think we’re probably going to get along very well. But you know, it’s got to be a two-way street,” Trump said, adding that China was “ripping off” the U.S. economically.
