Trump calls war in Ukraine his top priority

The U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has called the war between russia and Ukraine a priority problem that he must solve. The newly elected American leader said this in an interview with the French magazine Paris Match, Barron’s reports.

“I think we have to solve the Ukraine problem with Russia. Both those countries are losing numbers that nobody can believe. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers are being killed,” the politician said in response to a question.

He also spoke about the situation in the Middle East.

“And the Middle East is of course a big priority. But I think that the Middle East is a less difficult situation than Ukraine with Russia,” Trump said.

At the same time, he noted that ” those are the two situations that we have to solve and we have to solve them quickly. A lot of people are dying.”

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 8, the U.S. President-elect Donald Trump said that Ukraine had lost 400,000 soldiers in the war with the aggressor country russia.

In response, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine had lost 43,000 soldiers since the start of the full-scale war.

Recall that on November 15, Zelenskyy said that under Trump, the war in Ukraine would end faster.
