Trump said that the US earns almost $2 billion a day in tariffs.
US President Donald Trump said that foreign leaders are calling him and flattering him to get him to lift tariffs . According to CNN , at the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) presidential dinner in Washington, he said that representatives of other countries are “kissing his ass” to try to make a deal.
“I’m telling you, these countries are calling us, kissing my ass. They want this deal so bad. ‘Please, please, sir, let’s make a deal. I’ll do anything, sir,'” Trump said.
At the same time, responding to criticism of the tariffs, Trump stated that the United States earns almost $2 billion a day from them.
“We get almost $2 billion a day in tariffs… And we’re very good at making what I call one-off deals… America will be very rich again very soon,” Trump said.
Trump also said he has a higher approval rating than any US president in his first 100 days in office.
“Someone told me that the most successful month, the first month in history, is now. They say this is the most successful 100 days in the history of our country. And I believe that is so, and we will continue in the same spirit,” the US president summed up.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessant said that nearly 70 countries have asked the United States to help restore the balance in global trade after the imposition of tariffs.
