Trump asked Xi Jinping to influence putin to end war in Ukraine

During a meeting in Beijing, US President Donald Trump appealed to Chinese leader Xi Jinping to help end the war in Ukraine and help resume the negotiation process between Kyiv and Moscow.

This was reported by the South China Morning Post, citing sources.

According to the publication, Trump said that the negotiations between russia and Ukraine had reached a dead end. In this regard, he asked the Chinese leader to use his influence on russian president vladimir putin to return him to dialogue with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

As noted by SCMP, Trump’s appeal indicates Washington’s desire to more actively involve Beijing in finding ways to end the war. The issue of resolving the russian-Ukrainian conflict remains one of the key directions of the American President’s foreign policy after his return to the White House.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during a meeting with deputies of the Servant of the People faction, suggested that the active phase of the war could end by November of this year.

Recall that russia is tired of Trump’s envoys and wants to change the format of negotiations regarding the war in Ukraine.

  1. TACO has done nothing to help end this war. He’s rewarded russia by stopping all aid, by lifting sanctions and attacking Zelensky. Not once has he said a bad word about putler. Seeing the Chinks are supplying mafia land with a large percentage of electronics for their drones, Ukraine don’t need them either.
