Trump says he has the highest approval ratings of any US president.
US President Donald Trump said he probably won’t run for a third term. He told CNBC in an interview .
“No. Probably not,” Trump said when asked by a reporter whether he planned to run for president again.
Nevertheless, the American leader admitted that he would like to become the US president for a third time. According to him, he has the best ratings in the history of the country.
“You know why? Because people like tariffs. And they like that other countries don’t cheat us out of money anymore,” Trump explained.
Politico noted that Trump’s allies have repeatedly called for him to run for a third term, despite the constitutional ban that prevents him from serving more than two terms in the White House .Read also:
According to the publication, Trump has several ways to circumvent this restriction. He can cancel the amendment or run for vice president and subsequently become president.
Trump has found loopholes that will allow him to run for a third term
Earlier, US President Donald Trump said he did not rule out running for a third term. He assured that there are methods by which he could lead the White House again.
“I’m not kidding, but it’s too early to think about it,” the US president said.
Let us recall that the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, which was adopted after Franklin D. Roosevelt was elected to a fourth term in 1944, prohibits US presidents from serving more than two terms.

He must have his own special poll, because the latest from 12 polling results vary from the close to the extreme. Not one is favourable.

He is lying, as usual. His low approval rating is beaten by only one other president and that is Trump 1.0. And, there is no loophole in the 22nd Amendment. Its purpose is clearly stated.
Could you imagine Trump going up against Obama in 3.5 years time. I have no love for Obama, but it would be wholesale slaughter.

It states, “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice”. It seems to me that running for VP would be allowed. And then if the President steps down, per Article II Section 1 Clause 6, the “Powers and Duties of the” presidency “shall devolve on the VicePresident”.
That’s possible, but he still wouldn’t be an elected president.
Elected or not, he’d still be president for a third time. That’s the loophole.

Semantics. The intent of the 22nd Amendment was to prevent someone from serving more than 2 terms as President. It even considers the case of someone who wasn’t elected but stepped into the role. Using this back-door method is a loophole, because it violates the intent of the Amendment.
Okay, I won’t continue splitting hairs. I’ll just say that this piece of shit will not see the inside of the Oval Office again.
