The American president noted that he wants to see if he can put an end to the war in Ukraine.

US President Donald Trump plans to speak with Russian dictator Putin on Tuesday.
“I’ll talk to Putin on Tuesday. A lot of work has been done over the weekend,” Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One, Reuters reports.
“We want to see if we can end this war. Maybe we can, maybe we can’t, but I think we have a very good chance,” he added.
Putin and Trump meeting
On March 16, Putin’s aide Yuri Ushakov reported that Russia and the United States were preparing for a future meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin. He added that contacts between the two countries were being maintained, but not yet at the level of heads of state.
In addition, on March 13-14, US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff visited Moscow for talks with Putin. Following this meeting, the US declared “cautious optimism.”
And US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. They discussed “steps following the meetings in Saudi Arabia and agreed to continue working to restore ties between the US and Russia.”
According to Western media, Putin’s lack of interest in a ceasefire in Ukraine poses a major challenge to the United States. At the same time, Trump’s ability to force Putin to make concessions is not clear.

HE WILL DISCUSS HOW MUCH LAND PUTIN WANTS FROM UKRAINE………..TRUMP SAID.
It doesn’t sound good for the ruSSia when Trump says he has a call with the dictator and then immediately say “maybe we will stop this war and maybe we won’t.”
Maybe it’ll snow tomorrow, maybe it won’t.
I know 9th-graders who don’t speak as childish as this man child.
